On-Site Registration Dates

Join us as your school welcomes new and returning families and the students meet their teachers. We will be on-site at this time to complete your registration process for 2010-11 school year. Remember, if you have a balance from last year, that MUST be paid prior to enrolling this year. Save yourself time and visit our news and forms page. There you will be able to download and complete all the forms necessary for the new school year. Make sure you bring them with you when you visit the school at any of the following times:

Preschool Program no longer available at Taylor Exemplar

We are grateful that while each NHA school has been new and as they are growing, we have been able to secure a classroom so that we may offer a preschool and 1/2 day kindergarten care program. We also know that eventually the school grows to the size where they need to utilize every classroom for the students who attend the school during the day. This means that we eventually lose our permanent classroom. This happened to us at the end of 2009-2010 school year. While were are STILL around to provide before and after school care at Taylor Exemplar Academy, we will not, however, be available to provide our preschool program. There is question that if enough parents request a 1/2 day kindergarten care program, we MIGHT be able to share a classroom for 1/2 of the day. But as of publication of this latest post, I have not heard that any parent had requested this service.

We are considering the possibility of providing a preschool program at Quest Academy in the fall of 2011. If you are interested in that, please contact Madonna Mrocca at 734-697-1566. You may also email us at mmextracare@sbcglobal.net.

Summer Camp Registration Begins

We have officially begun taking registrations for summer camp at Quest Academy. Go to our Summer Camp page for more information and to download your registration form. Spots are limited and we are opening up camp to clients of both of our Taylor schools (Quest and Exemplar). So if you want to make sure you're in, reserve your spot with a one-week deposit and completed registration form.
All summer camp clients will receive FREE REGISTRATION to the fall before & after care program at their school.

Re-Charge Fitness and Nutrition Program

We are starting an exciting Fitness and Nutrition program at Taylor Exemplar, called ReCharge! This program is geared toward students who are in grades 3-6 but those younger and older are welcome to participate. Madonna Mrocca will be starting this program on Tuesday, October 6 and she and her support staff will be teaching these fun activities every Tuesday and Friday after that. Quest License Granted - Open for Business!!

Yeah! We have completed the arduous task of intitial licensing procedure. The consultant has verbally given us permission to be open for business on Monday, September 28. Our license information should be live on the DHS Licensing website on that day or shortly thereafter. As soon as we receive our license in the mail, we will post it on-site, on our Parent Board.
Thank you to ALL our families who have been patient while we waited for our license to be granted. We look forward to an exciting school year at Quest Academy.

Quest Licensing Update

I spoke to my consultant yesterday and she is swamped. But the good news is that a date for inspection has been set. She will be out on Thursday, September 24. Since I expect it to go smoothly, I believe I can safely say that we are 90% sure we will be open for business on Monday, September 28! If you have submitted a registration form, be sure to follow-up with a registration payment right away so you can officially begin the registration process. I will be contacting everyone on our list so far to let you know about the rest of the registration process.
Registration payments ($30 for the first child and $20 each for additional sibling) can be made by submitting a check or money order to M & M Daycare, 47845 Denton Road, Belleville MI 48111. You can also drop checks off at the school office. Although normally we will accept cash payments, since we are not there right now to produce a receipt, we ask that only payments with a "paper trail" be made.

Taylor Exemplar Open House Dates

Clients may return completed paperwork to the school during their summer business hours or at any of the Open House Dates:
Tuesday, Aug. 25th 1:30 or 6:00 p.m. for K-2nd grade
Thursday, Aug. 27th 1:30 or 6 p.m. for 3-5th grade
Tuesday Sept. 1st 1:30 or 6 p.m. for 6-8th grade
If you have returned your registration form with payment, you should have received an email with attached documents that need to be completed and returned. You should also have received the username and password that will allow you access to the News and Forms page. Let Madonna know at mmextracare@sbcglobal.net if you did not receive this email.
If you have a past-due balance from last year, your registration will not be accepted until it is paid in full.

New Location Has Just Been Announced!

We are pleased to announce that we will be providing the before and after school program at Quest Academy in Taylor. Please see our locations page for a map. Our program at Quest will be strictly before and after school, and of course we will provide service on in-service and half days of school as well.
Because this is a new license, we must wait until the building is complete before a licensing inspection can occur. We have started the application process, but it can take three months or more for the entire process to be completed. If you are a parent at Quest Academy, you will need to find alternate care for possibly the first 6-8 weeks of school. Hopefully this is a worst-case scenario.
We do ask that you submit a registration form if you will be needing care at Quest. For this location, we are not asking for your registration payment until we get closer to a licensing date. But having your registration form completed will allow us to plan our staffing appropriately as well as ensure that you will be updated with communication in regard to the licensing process.

Now Taking Registrations for Fall

School resumes on Tuesday, September 8, as does M & M Extra Care and Preschool. Please submit your registration forms, with payment, to guarantee yourself a spot at M & M. Space is limited and guaranteed on a first-come-first-served basis. You can send your registration form online (emailing a completed form), then follow-up with a check to our home office in Belleville. Or, you can call me at 734-697-1566 with your credit card information to take care of the registration fee.

Once you are officially registered, you will receive a welcome email with the passcodes necessary to enter the news and forms page on this website. There will be certain forms necessary to fully complete your registration, and instructions will be included in your welcome email.

If you are a new client, of course, you will want to meet our staff before the first day of school. We will send notices to our registered clients, as well as post a blog, once dates have been set for our Open House Events prior to the new school year. (These will occur sometime in August).

Year-End Statements

I just sent out year-end statements to our email clients today. If you did not get a statement online, perhaps you need to send us your email address for quick and easy weekly statements all school year. Those whom I do not have email addresses on, will be mailed a statement next week (June 29).
Most clients have been very good and have only incidental, if any, balances. A small few number of clients have larger balances and we ask that you take the summer to pay off those balances. You may not register for Fall 2009 until your accounts are paid in full and you've paid a new registration fee.
Accounts with past-due balances are experiencing a grace period until July 10, at which time we will assess late charges again.
