Mo Mrocca

Teacher Mo (they/them) is a graduate of the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. They first joined M&M in 2019 at South Canton Scholars, and then joined the team at SPS in 2021 after a year-long break. Mo has lived in four countries and has a love for language and culture. They are also passionate about accessibility and accommodations for disabled students, specifically those with neurological disabilities such as Autism and ADHD. For fun, they make and sell art, play video games, and read and translate Queer Chinese webnovels.

K-1st GRADE SPECIALIST

Jill

Ms. Jill (she/her) first joined M&M in June of 2022 during summer camp. She has been working in childcare for 3 and a half years, from daycares to nannying to school-age. During her time off she enjoys playing volleyball, hanging out with friends and family, and watching Master Chef! She is always trying to find new projects or activities for her class, and she loves when her students don’t want to leave because of how much fun they’re having!

K-1ST GRADE SPECIALIST

Ms. Maddie

Ms. Maddie is a new addition to the SPS family, having just started this school year. She has worked in childcare since 2014 with daycare, school age, and private nannying. She took a break from working to be a stay-at-home mom for the past two years. She has a fiancé, a 6-year-old step-son, and a 2-year-old daughter. In her free time, she enjoys family-fun activities, interior design, and playing with her two cats. Along with Ms. Jill, Ms. Maddie leads the kindergarten & first grade class. She is thrilled to make a positive impact in her students’ lives, and she looks forward to a year with excitement and fun!

2nd-3rd Grade Specialist

Ms. Wendland (ALyson)

Ms. Alyson currently lives in Ypsilanti but she is from Richfield, Minnesota. She is attending Eastern Michigan University and working towards her Bachelors in Early Childhood Elementary Education. She is very outgoing and a kid at heart! She is our new member at SPS. We are so happy to have her and shes is very excited to work with the students at M&M and she cannot wait to make an impact!.

4th-5Th GRADE SPECIALIST

Ms. Katelyn

Ms. Katelyn (she/them) has been with M&M since last school year. She is originally from the Chicago suburbs, where she graduated from College of DuPage. She then transferred to University of Michigan for neuroscience and psychology but decided to take a gap year to work at M&M and consider other possibilities for school. She enjoys connecting with the kids on a personal level due to her background in psychology. For fun, Ms. Katelyn spends her time hanging out with her two dogs & boyfriend and playing video games, and she has a huge passion for music and making playlists.

6th-8th grade specialist

Ms. abigail

Ms. Abigail (she/her) is a mom to a wild boy and a girl fur-baby. This is her first year here at SPS but could not be more eager to build relationships, help teach the students, and become a part of the family here! She graduated from Lincoln High School and massage therapy school. She absolutely adores working with children and helping them deal with emotions. Communication and listening are key to helping Ms. Abigail with getting to know and understanding every student.

Madonna Mrocca

As the owner of M&M Daycare, Inc., Madonna has been providing care for children since 1995. As a parent of two children who attended NHA Schools, Madonna understands the important role that M&M Plays in providing a quality school-age program. She believes that each child shall be treated as an individual and will have caring professionals provide a safe, nurturing environment. Additionally, independence, exploration, and a feeling of self-worth will be encouraged and opportunities for social-emotional growth, recreational activities and educational learning will be provided.
