Site Leader

Ms. Meidy

Starting this school year, Ms. Meidy is our new site leader at Fortis. In her free time, she loves crafts, water activities, exploring nature, and shopping. She is attending WCC for medical assisting and would love to take classes for early childhood development. She loves to watch Reba and her favorite childhood book is Baby Mouse. 
Enrichment Specialist - Kinder-1st Grade

Mrs. Amaney

Mrs. Amaney is leading the kinder classroom this year at M&M. In her spare time, she loves being around family, crocheting, reading, embroidery, traveling, and going to the beach. Her education journey started in New York in child education, and plans to pursue child psychology here in Michigan. Mrs. Amaney loves to teach the kiddos new things, give out fun facts, doing new experiments, and doing art projects. Her guilty pleasure shows are crime documentaries. As a child, her favorite book was The Giving Tree. 
2nd-3rd Enrichment Specialist 

Ms. Diamond

Ms. Diamond is starting her second year with us at M&M, but has worked in childcare for 5 years. Her classroom motto is "Treat people with kindness". She enjoys spending time with her kitty, Jazzy, crafting, watching movies, and reading books. She started her education journey at Washtenaw College in child development, and doing a dual enrollment program with Eastern to obtain a Bachelor's degree in family and children communication. She is a former member of the TEACH program. She has a true passion for education, and believes every child deserves a great intro to learning. She suffers with learning disability in math, and used to in reading before she tested out. She is a huge believer in persevering and hard work to achieve goals. One of her favorite shows is Abbott Elementary. Her favorite movies include the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, Princess and the Frog, and Migration. Her favorite childhood book is Chrysanthemum.
 Enrichment Specialist - 3rd-5th Grade

Ms. Madison

Ms. Madison is in her fifth school year with M&M Extra Care. Outside of her M&M classroom, she is also on the DHS billing team. She has a degree in Health and Human Services from the University of Michigan. Her major is in public health and her minor is in women's and gender studies. She plans to go back for her Master's in Social Work, to become a school social worker. She loves teaching SEL and working with M&M kids has helped her find her calling. She is passionate about making a positive impact on our students and watching them grow. She loves to craft, crochet, and read. She also loves to spend time with her cat Mia (who your student may know as Butter Cat). Her guilty pleasure TV are reality shows and shows like the Office and Friends. She loved Junie B. Jones books as a child.

Ms. Rawya is one of our morning care specialists.  She started with us this school year at M&M but works with the kiddos during the day here at Fortis!

Adrienne Washington

Ms. Adrienne studied Early Childhood Development at Madonna University and has worked with children for over 35 years. She is beginning her 7th school year with M&M Extra Care. A fun fact about Ms. Adrienne is that she is a jump rope wizard and can jump rope longer than most of the M&M camp kids. Her favorite book as a child was “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.”

Tara Ball

Ms. Tara has been with M & M since 2009 and also began as an Enrichment Specialist. But with Tara’s extensive experience and expertise in School-Age programming, it was clear her role was to include so much more. Tara is instrumental in providing high quality care at M&M. Tara is a valuable coach and leader to all Specialists, Site Leaders and even the Administrative Team. Tara will often step into a classroom to cover a shift, to help train a new specialist, or even just because she LOVES working with the kids! Tara’s greatest love—planning and working summer camp!

Madonna Mrocca

As the owner of M&M Daycare, Inc., Madonna has been providing care for children since 1995. As a parent of two children who attended NHA Schools, Madonna understands the important role that M&M Plays in providing a quality school-age program. She understands that strong partnerships with families, co-workers and school-day teachers will aid in the growth and development of each child. Her team of professionals are provided with an equally safe and cooperative workplace where honesty, integrity, trust, respect, and ongoing professional education is their primary responsibility. Although Madonna now operates primarily in the administration of the program, she believes in her team and relies on them to provide the best before and afterschool program available!
