Extra Care

IN-SERVICE DAY WITH M & M

- On Half-Day or Early-Release Days, M & M Extra Care is most likely available. Please note that registration may be required depending on staffing and space.

- On Full-Day school closures, M & M Extra Care is generally not available. During teacher professional development days, our staff also participate in required trainings (held twice per school year).

- On most holidays, M & M Extra Care is not offered, as the school building is considered closed.

- Whenever care is available and registration is necessary, we will share notifications and registration links through the Brightwheel app feed.

HALF-DAY LUNCH POLICY

We do not provide lunch on 1/2-days of school. ALL STUDENTS must bring a sack lunch on 1/2 days. If any student does not have a lunch, they will be given a simple meal (ex. cheese or bologna sandwich and chips) and the parent WILL be charged. This is not intended to be a meal option, only a way to keep our students from being hungry when the parent forgets (we understand, it happens!).

If Your School is Having a Half-Day of School:

M & M is most likely open for a Half-Day of Extra Care for families who need it.

Registration may be required depending on staffing and space.

The impact on your schedule is outlined below, based on your regular enrollment:

After School Care – (normally receiving care from 3:15 – 6:00 pm) – Your child will be dismissed from school at 11:15 am. Your normal aftercare is automatically provided until 2:00 pm. If you need care after 2:00 pm, your charge will be $15 ($12 for additional siblings).

All other students – If your child does not normally attend aftercare, and you need care during school hours (11:15 – 3:15), then your charge will be $18. Drop-in and non-clients pay $20 and anyone in this category after 3:15 will be charged an additional $12.

Registration is not necessary for 1/2 days; you will be billed the extra charges if your student is not picked up by 2:00 pm.

If Your School is Having an Early Release Day:

On an early-release day of school (out at 1:15 pm), we will be open for Extra Care for those that need it. How this will affect you is outlined below. If you are normally scheduled for:

After School Care – (normally receiving care from 3:15 – 6:00 pm) – Your child will be dismissed from school at 1:15 pm. Your normal aftercare is automatically provided until 4:00 pm. If you need care after 4:00 pm, your charge will be $8 ($6 for additional siblings).

All other students – If your child does not normally attend aftercare, and you need care during school hours (1:15 – 3:15), then your charge will be $10. Drop-in and non-clients pay $12 and anyone in this category after 3:15 will be charged an additional $10.

Registration is not necessary for early release days; you will be billed the extra charges if your student is not picked up by 4:00 pm.

IF M&M IS OPEN when Your School is Having an In-Service Day (no school):

If your school schedules more than two in-service days during the school year, M & M may offer a full day of Extra Care for any days beyond the first two.

Details on how this applies to your family are outlined below, based on your regular schedule:

Before-school Care – We will be there to provide care at 6:30 AM, for our regular before-school students, as long as they reserve their spot with the form below. If no one responds for this time slot, we will not open until 8:00 am.

After School Care – Your normal after care will operate as usual, AND we will be providing a structured day of activities and fun from 8:00 – 3:15 for just $30 extra ($24/siblings).

All other students – If your child does not normally attend M & M, and you need care during school hours (8:00 – 3:15), then your charge will be $35. Add $15 to that fee if you need care until 6:00 pm.

Because we need to staff and plan our activities accordingly, YOU MUST REGISTER (link above) for this service if your child will be attending on the full day of In-Service.
