We expect our Specialists to develop relationships with their students and their families, to promote a safe and nurturing environment and to foster a supportive partnership with the parents or guardians in the role of caring for each student.
Site Director/Multi Site Director
Susan Walter
Ms. Susan has been with M&M for over six years. She is one of the programs’ Multi-Site Directors and also the Site Director for South Canton Scholars. Ms. Susan is a certified teacher and graduate of Michigan State University. She works as a 3rd Grade teacher at South Canton and enjoys developing relationships with her students. Some of her favorite pastimes are: spending time with her husband; reading; arts and crafts; and sports, especially track and field, tennis and Jiu Jitsu. Her passion is to empower students to maximize their potential and find the CHAMPION that lives on the inside of them.
KINDER SPECIALIST
Ms. SIERRA
Ms. Sierra’s been with M&M for over seven years. Her love for the students is evident in the way she interacts with and treats them. She is a kindergarten teacher at South Canton. Sierra is an amazing teacher and writer! She uses best practices in all her well thought out lessons and teaches her students to be independent thinkers and problem solvers. The students and parents love her!
1ST GRADE SPECIALIST/ COMMUNICATIONS
Ms. Sydnee
Sydnee feels that working with M&M has been amazing and believes the experience will be helpful towards her career in the future. She loves spending time with the students, laughing, playing games, while also helping them advance in their own lives. Sydnee also assists with parent communication during the day since Ms. Susan is busy with her third-grade classroom from 8-3.
2nd-3rd Enrichment Specialist
Ms. Jackie
Ms. Jacqueline is new to the M&M team! She is a mother of two grown daughters. She is also the grandmother of a little boy. He is the joy of her life. She enjoys her big family.
2nd-4th Enrichment Specialist
mr. Richard
Mr. Richard likes spending time with his children, going to sporting events, and fishing. He went to Robichaud High School and studied psychology at Grand Rapids JC. He worked in a public school for 20 years as a Conflict Resolution Specialist and Student Advocate. He was led to M&M after taking a couple years off. He finds working with children rewarding. His guilty pleasure would be to watch football all day everyday. He watches high school, college, and professional football. His favorite books as a kid were Where the Wild Things Are and Green Eggs and Ham.
4th Grade Specialist
Ms. Sofia
Ms. Sofia has been a dedicated member of the M&M team for the past four years. She is the proud mother of a beautiful daughter. She is currently attending school to pursue a career in the medical field. Ms. Sofia is proud of the work she does and truly enjoys collaborating with staff while building meaningful relationships with students. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time wither her daughter, friends, working out, and playing pickleball.
4th-5th Enrichment Specialist
ms. Katelyn
Ms. Katelyn is going to school at Schoolcraft for cybersecurity. Before she came to work with M&M, she worked as a waitress. In the future, she wants to work at a tech company like Microsoft. In her free time, she likes to go shopping and hang out with her friends. Her favorite TV show is Gilmore girls. As a kid, her favorite books were the Berenstain Bears.
6th-8TH GRADE SPECIALIST
Ms. ADDIE
Adelyn Bhavsar currently attends Madonna University, majoring in accounting. Addie believes that being a college student and working with M&M is great! M&M is easily the best job she’s ever had (her words!). Addie loves learning about the students’ interests and being able to connect with them. She looks forward to another great year with her students and the team at M&M.
Enrichment Specialist
Ms. Tracee
Ms. Tracee has been in the education field for many years. She started as a homeschool mom! She was able to homeschool her children from Kindergarten to 8th grade, teaching all subjects. From there, she was employed at a Title I public school, teaching ELA and Math. She would do private tutoring before and after school, and tutored throughout the summer. From California to Michigan, she is now an RTI for South Canton Scholars, focusing on reading and math. She feels a great honor and privilege to play a small part in a child's development. She feels that children are full of so much hope and promise. Ms. Tracee wants to continue in this field for as long as she can!
Enrichment Specialist
Ms. Smith
Ms. Smith is new to the M&M team. She is a mother of four. She graduated from Ypsilanti High School and has worked with children for the past 7 years. She enjoys playing games, engaging, and learning with the students! In her free time, Ms. Smith enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, arts and crafts, and travelling. One of her favorite quotes is "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world" - Nelson Mandela

Tara ball
Ms. Tara has been with M & M since 2009 and also began as an Enrichment Specialist. But with Tara’s extensive experience and expertise in School-Age programming, it was clear her role was to include so much more. Tara is instrumental in providing high quality care at M&M. Tara is a valuable coach and leader to all Specialists, Site Leaders and even the Administrative Team. Tara will often step into a classroom to cover a shift, to help train a new specialist, or even just because she LOVES working with the kids! Tara’s greatest love—planning and working summer camp!

Madonna Mrocca
As the owner of M&M Daycare, Inc., Madonna has been providing care for children since 1995. As a parent of two children who attended NHA Schools, Madonna understands the important role that M&M Plays in providing a quality school-age program. She understands that strong partnerships with families, co-workers and school-day teachers will aid in the growth and development of each child. Her team of professionals are provided with an equally safe and cooperative workplace where honesty, integrity, trust, respect, and ongoing professional education is their primary responsibility. Although Madonna now operates primarily in the administration of the program, she believes in her team and relies on them to provide the best before and afterschool program available!
